If you are a UCT student, you can phone Campus Control for help or more information about being safe.

Phone no:
650 2222/3 (@ Lower Campus, this is the main one) or
650 2121 (@ Upper Campus)

They are available 24 hours a day

If you are really unfortunate, in other words, if you have been robbed or hijacked, the first thing that you have to do is to phone the police.

The emergency number in South Africa: 10111
(But if possible, try to phone your local police station because that is much faster)

If you are using Vodacom, dial 147, or MTN, dial 112 and ask them to put you through to the local police station.

"Remember: Rather be safe than sorry!"
